Research Survey - Potential State
Hi,
My name is Assael Romanelli and I'm an Israeli performing artist, educator and therapist. I have been working in different social and educational projects in Israel, USA and the UK. Ive noticed that each discipline i work in (art, education, therapy) is missing of the knowledge and tools of the other ones.
Im founding a new initative called "Potential State" - a complementary education institute for practitioners in the "helping professions" (teachers, therapists, artists, community workers and leaders, religious clergy, social workers...). Research has shown that the 2 things that lower burnout in the helping professions are a support community, and interdisciplinary tools that help these professionals see their job as a challenge. That is what Potential State will do: it will build a creative support community, and then next year open a complementary education center.
The project would start as a "kitchen" - an interdiciplinary incubator for helping practitioners from different disciplines. This kitchen will meet for a year, sharing and developing new tools and knowledge, that will improve the participants practice.
Answering this short questionnaire, will help me learn what are the real needs of those in the field.
ALL ANSWERS ARE STRICTLY SECRET AND ANONYMOUS.

What is your profession?
Are there any theories/practices/tools that you feel you or your profession is lacking?
Are there any tools/theories/practices from your profession/discipline that you think other practitioners from different fields should know (and possibly use)?
Which tools/theories would you like to learn from other disciplines?
In the first stage, the "kitchen" will meet regularly providing a safe space where its members can share, explore and enrich their practice. these Meetings will focus around issues that are relevant for the participants, with each participant contributing to the exploration with his/her knowledge and experience.
This will lead participants to greater personal and professional development.

In closing, what do you think of this project? is there really a need for this kind of interdiciplnary exploration and education?
What would you recommend I think/change/add about this program?
Are there any organisations/people that you know that deal with this or similar issues that you can direct me to?
In short, can you please give me some FEEDBACK?
